Quickbooks 2010 not accepting License and serial numbers

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows

I have a copy of Quickbooks pro 2010 and I keep getting an error. I was suggested to reinstall the program by your help database and so I downloaded the setup file from the website and when I entered the license number that I got with my original purchase of Quickbooks 2010 it gave me an error saying I have entered incorrect number. Please tell me how I can proceed
