You can keep the file on the NAS but the NAS does not have the ability to host the app that manages file concurrency.
You need a computer to control the NAS requests for the file.
You can search the forums, this has been covered.
The new SSD is a different issue and we are awaiting someone telling us what they tried and what worked or didn't work.
