Call customer service. You should be able to get a copy of the prior year to play around with it to see it you like it.

As the other stated Customer Service may give you a copy of the 2008 version to test the software and see if it will be functional based upon what you need to use for tax software

A lot of the entry is quite intuitive, but there is that little green spot on the top left part of the page where you can type, "Where do I enter?" If you have problems with navigation, let us know that you're doing a demo on the program and we'll be here to help.

I can tell you that as far as ease of use and navigation are concerned, ProSeries is great. In a recent Journal of Accountancy survey ProSeries was third (first and second were TurboTax and TaxAct which really aren't true professional packages) for having the lowest percent of users ever requiring help from technical support. I have rarely called them in 3 years. When I tested other programs I was constantly calling to ask how to do something.

I've been using this software for 20+ years and am satisfied. The product is robust and the workflows are pretty easy to master.
