Progream closes down?

Yesterday, TWO HOURS into a rather complicated return I got the dreaded "program has encountered a problem and must shut down". And it did. THEN I found out that NOTHING had been saved!! I had entered the preference to "save every 10 minutes" OR SO I THOUGHT. But I had to start over from the rolled over return from last year. It happened three more times (Thank goodness I had been manually saving!!) and then at least THREE times the program just shut down without warning!!!Anybody else had this experience?It was during the final preparation as I was working through the errors...

I've had the same thing happen to me. It would be nice to see an "autosave" feature implemented into ProSeries. It's a pretty standard feature for modern software.

I have had the same problem. It was always on a large return and when I was going through the error list. I also have it on automatic save but can't locate the file it is saving into.

I too have have lots of similar occurrence's when all of a sudden the program just shuts itself down and does not record any transactions. What I have also noticed is that when you go to look at the report showing what has happened, the file actually over-writes itself everytime there is an error. So if you wanted to check previous reports there is no way of finding it.
