Problems with Statement Aging

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows

I need help with aging for my statements

.I did an invoice for $100 on 3/30 to a customer, then I did an invoice on 3/31 for additional work for the same customer in the amount of $50.  When I print my statement with aging, the first job comes up 1-30 past due and the second job comes up current.  No matter what changes I make in how aging is calculated in the program, or if I print the statement on 3/31 or 4/1 I still have this past due problem.  How do I fix it?

Look at the invoice itself.  Look at the terms set for the customer.  The default for an invoice will be the terms set for the customer in the customer center.  Edit customer - the terms are on the additional information tab.  You can also manually set the due date of an invoice if you want it to be different from the terms set for the customer.  So I'd look there.

Look at your Aging settings: Edit menu > Preferences, Reports & Graphs, Company Preferences. Also, Edit menu > Preferences, Finance Charge, Company Preferences.

You need to set if you are calculating from Invoice (transaction) Date or Due Date.

I've tried the first solutions suggested, but still have the problem.  Right now the terms are set to "age from due date" but it doesn't matter , the problem persists if it is set for from "transaction date", where the problem lies, I think, is that I want the aging set from the statement date (and therefore all invoices within that month) but I can't figure out how to do that.

You can't age from statement date. A statement simply is a report of account activity. It is the actual sales transactions that carry a date and a due date.
