Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

Problem with memorising Progress invoices

QuickBooks UK : Pro 2012

In QB Pro 2010 A MEMORISED Progress invoice still prints out line items where the amount is Zero even though I have the switch set in Estimate prefs to not print zero line items. Also the estimate total outstanding is not reduced by the amount on the generated invoice. If I create the progress invoice immediately (without memorising first) from the estimate, then it works ok.

 i can't test this as i use 2010,

but the problem i think is the use of memmorised invoices, these are not directly linked to your estimate as far as i know it is not a feature (but agreed should be inho) so invoices produced will not affect what ever is outstanding on the estmated total, but show as an addition sum on the clients account.
