Pro Advisor database produced no leads

I became certified for Quickbooks 2010 in November, 2010 and set up my profile on the pro advisor database. I did not get a single lead from December, 2010 through April 2011. This was very discouraging since the database gets 40,000 hits a month. I suppose no one on Cape Cod has a need for Quickbooks services. I let my Pro Advisor program expire and am reluctant to renew. I would appreciate alternative suggestions for getting the clients without spending a lot on marketing. Thanks

If there are a lot of Certified ProAdvisors in your area, you need to work at improving your listing in the search results.  It is hard when you're only certified in one year.  I get quite a few calls from it, but I am advanced certified, I include a pic, have reviews and have been certified for many years and have other certs too (QBES and POS). It also helps to have good 'key words' in the first part that shows up.  Plus, not the profile show up on Google too.

It does take time to get the first few clients and build up your business.  It requires patience and persistence. :)
