Printing Costs

What do you all use to print out color copies? I live in a small town and it is $1.00/color copy and $1.00/lamination so this can add up really fast. I have outsourced a lot of my brochure type stuff to vista print but I was just wondering if any of you use an online printer that will ship the items to you. I know Kinkos does this but is there any place out there that I haven't thought of? TIA for any ideas!

My clients for business cards and event flyers use either Office Depot Vista print or ClubFlyers.com

We went to a national business stationery printer and they did an excellent job with our full color hood stickers for a very reasonable price. They are at NEBS.com

In the past, using gang run printers meant sacrificing quality. But with technology being what it is today, that simply is not the case anymore--regardless of what a local printer might tell you. More often than not, the pricing through online gang run printers is one-third of what local offset printers charge, and it is very difficult to make a distinction between them in terms of quality.

The only catch lies in their shipping charges. Many advertise exceptionally low prices on items like business cards, post cards, and flyers, etc. However, depending upon where you live in relationship to their facility, their shipping fees often equal or exceed their printing prices. So it will pay to look beyond the printing price (itself).

If you are located in the central US or live east of the Mississippi River, a good source is Print Direct For Less: http://printdirectforless.com/

If you are located closer to the west coast, a good source is Next Day Flyers: http://www.nextdayflyers.com/n...

Another consideration is graphic designs and print-ready artwork: do it yourself, pay the printer to do it, or pay a designer?

Just as you likely would not walk into court by yourself, or with a paralegal at your side, nor should you entrust your business image presentation to anyone short of a professional graphic designer, especially in this economy. You might pay a few dollars more to retain our services, but considering the money you will save by utilizing online gang run printing, you will likely still end up paying less in the long run than going through your local printer.

Hope you found this useful.
