I am a new business owner and have been using QuickBooks Point of Sale 9.0 Basic for the past month. I have a produce store and want to move into pricing by weight. Is it possible to integrate a scale into QBPPOS for auto detecting quantity?
It is not possible to integrate a scale into QB POS for auto detecting weight at this moment. I would recommend sending a feedback from Help menu of your POS. Also, there is a forum for feedback on the QuickBooks Point of Sale product: http://intuit.uservoice.com/fo...
Ability has just added the Integrated Scale add on for QuickBooks Point of Sale to the Intuit Marketplace. In addition to the Integrated Scale program Ability also has a Random Weight add on that can print labels for pre-weighed packages using the same scale and/or can read properly formatted labels printed by other printing scales.
