Currently the program prints the preparer's name in the preparer signature field. Are you talking about an actual signature of some type? We don't have that capability in the ITO program.

Here's a guess. You can do it in Lacerte and I understand this program is similar. In the input for Invoice, letter, Filing Instructions do you have a field for Date under Client Letter? Type a negative date and it will appear on the return as your signature date.

Hi Raysid99,
Currently, the preparer's name prints on the signature line. IRS Notice 2004-54 provides that the Internal Revenue Service will permit income tax return preparers to sign original returns, amended returns, or requests for filing extensions by rubber stamp, mechanical device, or computer software program.
We are working on a blank preparer signature line option and hope to have it available soon.
