Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

Preparer Fee not showing when using RAL

When doing a RAL, my fees are not showing on the printed paperwork. Fees also do not show when you print the checks. Issue is that fees are charged but not showing on the paperwork. Anybody having the same problem?

I have the same problem with two of my RAL's. Called tech support Sunday - was told there is a problem with those of us who used Express last year. Was also told they would call but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Are they Low Cost RALs (under $1,000)? If so, the program is operating as designed. For Low Cost RALs, your preparer fees come out of the refund. Because of this, they are not part of the RAL. Regular RALs (over $1,000) include the fees as part of the RAL that is why they show.

There are two other very important parts to getting your preparer fees to flow on the Bank Products Information Worksheet. First is to check the box to "flow all billing amounts." This is located just above the fees on the Bank Products Information Worksheet. Second is to save the return by pressing the F10 key. I myself have been in a rush before and forgotten this simple yet important step.
