Can any of the Premier 2012 Industry-specific versions be installed from any distribution (i.e. can Retail be installed from a box labeled Contractor)? Does the Premier 2012 box with no industry listed contain all? And can the industry be changed after the initial installation? Thanks.
I was finally able to get through to Intuit and get an answer to these questions.
The product labeled QuickBooks Premier 2012 contains all of the industry options, of which the user selects one at installation. The industry version being used can be changed after the software is installed.
The product labeled with a specific industry is pre-set for that industry; there is no installation option.
Thanks for this. I almost bought the Professional Services edition, not knowing. They obviously make attempt to clear these confusions up; I suppose it results mislead people buying multiple copies eventually.
The industry specific editions are Premier. Each is tailored with templates and forms for the specific industry.
