Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). PC Freezes up After E-filing-EVERYDAY!!!

ProSeries

I have been e-filing for 15 years....love it, no problems. Thousands of returns e-filed with minimal issues.

Now this year.....EVERY SINGLE DAY I have to reboot my PC at least once a day (sometimes twice) becuase it freezes up after I e-file.

A train station is where the train stops. A bus station is where the bus stops. On my desk, I have a work station

I have no idea, and it sounds like a pain in the tookus, but I guess if you purposely bunch all your e-files into one time slot per day, and get onto the communications manager at that time, maybe you'll only have to reboot once a day.

Back up before it's too late. For a professional answer, call Tech Support at 1-800-933-9999 (Lacerte)(other numbers ProSeries, QB, or TurboTax). I am a volunteer, not compensated or supported by Intuit.

Sounds like a hardware issue.  I've been efiling for several years and never had that problem.  Have you tried efiling from another computer?

I have not had that problem. I would defragment your disk also make sure your Lacerte installation is good

I'm having the same issue and I transmit every return as I complete them. I never had this issue before and I have been using Lacerte for over 5 years.
