Payroll Salary off by .04

Just trying to figure out why the last payroll ran the only salary check as .04 over the amount normally paid. The amount never changes and no accounts have been changed. Any ideas on how to look for the error? I have checked all accounts and salary is set up for annual.

If the employee is on salary the earnings are entered as annual payroll amounts. This amount is divided by Quickbooks into the number of paychecks issued. This is probably a rounding difference to make up to the exact annual amount?

I have it happen at work to, and it seems to be just that, it is set for annual and some months have varying weeks and it will cause a roundning issue and cause it to vary, but it works out by the end of the year.

Actually it is changing tjhe salary at the end of the year too... so it is not equalling the total for the end of the year... and it shows a different amount in paycheck detail under earnings than in gross pay... hard to explain...
