Paying payroll iabilities

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows

paying payroll liabilities for first time. amount due does not include the last week of March which is the 13th week of the qtr. Actual pay date is April 4th. Do I use the number QB has or do i need to adjust it somehow?

If the last week of the Quarter is not paid until April, then it is not included in your Q1 liabilities. It is a Q2 liability.
QB records all payroll expenses and liabilities based on the paycheck date regardless of the dates when the work was actually performed.

So pay the QB amount with no adjustment for the last week.

Hi rwells12,

Paying your payroll liablityes is check date driven not pay period driven. If you adjust you check date in from and through area you will get the correct dollar amount.
