Was the bonus earned in the previous year? Was it recorded in the previous year?

The short answer to your question is: I took cash out of the company as a shareholder loan and would like to change it to a bonus for the year 2011. Can this be done?

You need to talk with your accountant about this. A journal entry can be done - but whether or not it should be done isn't something that can be answered generally.
