I password protected a clilent's file, and now want to unprotect it, but can't seem to figure out how to remove the password. Does anyone have any insight on this?

From the Lacerte Help Center:
Change Client Password
Where is this? Client menu > Password Protect
You can assign a password to a client file so that only you can access and make changes to the file. If you try to open the client's file once you assign a password, the program will prompt you for the password before you can make any changes.
In the New Password box, type the password you want to assign to the client.
In the Verify Password box, type the password again.
Click OK to save the password for the client's file.
Click Cancel to not assign a password.
TIP: If you want to remove a password currently assigned to this client, leave the New Password and Verify Password boxes blank.

Adding a Password to a Client
My situation is a little different. There is a password already on a client and we do not have the password. I went to the website and located the option to delete the client by using a temp master password that will only be available until midnight. However, the master password did not work. There appears to be a problem and I tired to call support, there is a 20-30 min. hold time. I thought I could get some help online. Thanks anyway.
Try the Chat thing in support, it may be faster than a phone call.
Thanks for your input. I have been working with support via chat for the last 1 1/2 hours and they have no idea what to do. So I guess i will just have to wait until they resolve the issue.

Have you done this? Click here.
I did try this and even had support on the line with me and still didn't work. I did read where support was having a problem with being able to access or delted a forgotten password. I will keep trying. Thanks to everyone for your help! much appreciated!!
I might add that I was trying to access multiple client password protected files and that proecess did not work. I even tried to copy and paste the password. I just went back and tried using the single client and that worked. So it appears that trying to unlock password protected file using the multiple client directions did not work for me but doing a single client did. Thanks again!!
