Partial Pay for salaried employee

The Intuit Online Payroll system will automatically adjust the pay of a salaried employee to pay them for the days worked. In this case if you have the Hire Date set as 4/20/10 and the pay period covers 10 working days this employee would be paid for 4 days and the system will adjust the gross pay to accommodate the employees start date.

Actually it didn't I had to overide it manually....how do you get it to change automatically?
