Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. I have never heard of "MID," but perhaps your client should ask the employer what it means.  If your client doesn't know, and the employer doesn't know, and the employer doesn't want to get involved with asking Paychex or ADP (etc) what it means, then as they say in Brooklyn, "fuhgeddaboudit."

Back up before it's too late. For a professional answer, call Tech Support at 1-800-933-9999 (Lacerte)(other numbers ProSeries, QB, or TurboTax). I am a volunteer, not compensated or supported by Intuit.

Line 14 items have very little if any impact on the tax return...especially this small  They are explanations of items already included in taxable income.

If Amy-in-PA can't deciper it, then I agree "fuhgeddaboudit"!
