Is there a setting somewhere I can check? We have never had this problem before. Have been using programs for over a decade. I went into Master Options and made sure my Preparer Copy was marked for printing to DMS. Anyone else having this problem?
Sounds like DMS needs to be licensed. Tools>Update License. Point to your Lacerte prep.10 file (OPTION10 folder).
No, we've been licensed for years. And it was working earlier this season.
I should note for any techies we are on a peer to peer network, but everything else is working just fine.
BW! It's You! Okay, I went to DMS, Tools>Update License and nav'd to my "L" drive to 10tax>Option10>Queue>Prep>Prep.10
It did not work. DMS was working last week and I have no idea why it may have stopped. We've had no software nor hardware issues.
Yes, you've found me out. You also have me stumped on this one. What happens if you try and export a client to DMS?
When in doubt, shut down the whole system and reboot... I had forgotten PC-101.
With system shut down and only peer server on, I opened DMS and got pop-up "This process will upgrade your DMS data." Database Optimization Report which followed showed "Updating the database copy of DMSSetup.exe to 8.00"
Restarted workstations, opened DMS and was prompted to upgrade to the new version. When I did, everything worked peachy-king! YaY! I am a happy tax preparer again!
