Opportunity For Accounting Firms
I am based in India and own a bookkeeping firm. I am looking forward to develop a strategic alliance with accounting firms (CPAs/CAs/bookkeeping firms)
Why my firm?
The biggest benefit of outsourcing bookkeeping to India is cost advantage. India has the largest skilled English-speaking population outside the US. This characteristic, when combined with the low cost of living of my city, makes it the perfect outsourcing destination.
One can get a mediocre bookkeeper for $5 an hour, and an experienced bookkeeper for $6-$15 an hour. I am only interested in the latter type because my focus is on providing quality service to my clients. I only hire qualified bookkeepers who have at least three years of experience and a bachelor's degree in commerce. These bookkeepers are headed by senior Chartered Accountants.
How Does it Benefit?
Because of the cost advantage, the accounting firm can quote a lower rate for bookkeeping than their peers, giving them an edge.
My plan:
The accounting firm will get the clients, and receive all the documents from them and email/fax them to us. We will do the bookkeeping and send back the updated files. The accounting firm will be the sole point of contact for clients.
