Is there a way tell Lacerte that only the state return is needed? Child needs to file PA return but not a federal one. Need to get 1040 info off of the client letter and invoice since it is not needed.
When you print the return, select state only. As I recall Lacerte used to have a feature where you could say state only return but not anymore. there was also a way to say no state return because under the filing requirement bu tthat is gone, too.
You can customize the client letter with screen 5.2 Custom Client Letter. Not sure about the invoice.
You can customize the invoice to avoid printing what forms are coming out, and show simply "Your total bill is X," or "Your total tax-prep is X, the computer fee is Y, you owe me Z."
