One-Click Export does not work with Quicken 2011 H&B running on Windows Pro 7 64-bit

US Intuit Online Payroll

I changed to a new PC running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I use Quicken 2011 Home & Business and import payroll data from Online Payroll Plus.  One-Click Export worked fine when my PC was running XP 32-bit.  With Win 7 Pro 64b, one-click export no longer works.  Tech support said One-Click Export is not supported on  Win 7 Pro 64b, only 32bit.  Tech support recommended using the manual export to a QIF file then a manual import of the QIF to Quicken.  It is not working.  Partial data is imported and into incorrect categories.  Other data does not  get imported.  If anyone has run into this same issue, please advise.  I will share additional details on what is happening.

Hi there!

The infromation you were provided is accurate.   At this time One-Click export for QuickBooks and One-Click for Quicken does NOT work with 64-bit operating systems. This includes the Vista 64-bit and Window 7 64-bit operating systems. Customers that attempt to export with a 64-bitoperating system will get an error similar to Runtime Error C++ C:/programs files or Runtime Error - Vista C++.
If you are running a 64-bit operating system should be instructed to use the QIF export method for Quicken.

I would recommend that you go over your Export preferences to ensure that all payroll is being tracked to the proper accounts in Quicken.

Can you maybe provide me more details as to what is missing?

I have had the exact same problem. Just upgraded to new state of the art computer. Now nothing exports. After 2 1/2 hours on help chat and live phone call was told my computer was too advanced for the program. ARGHHHH. I was also told to export in a multi-step process through a QIF file. Tried it at least 20 times. The paychecks info (with details)  went through after much grief, but the tax payment (Fed and state) came through completely uncategorized and with empty dollar amounts. They showed as transfers. After another hour on the phone I was told they could not figure this one out and my case would be reviewed by a supervisor. I should be contacted soon. Still waiting...........

Did you ever resolve your export issue?  I experimented by creating a new quicken file with the minimum accounts: a banking account and tax liabilities accounts.  Then, I did the QIF export from intuit online payroll and imported to the new quicken file.  It worked!  I contacted Intuit online payroll and explained what I did and asked why it worked on the new quicken file and not the old one?  They were not sure.  It could be a number of reasons: my old file was too large or something was corrupt or had data file issues because of it being upgraded over the years.

Now, I want to upgrade to Quicken H&B 2012 but concerned the same problems will exist.  Since the quicken technical teams don't talk to the intuit online tecnical teams, I'm not holding my breath for a resolution.

Thanks Maria_D for responding.  I have talked to Technical Support and they are still looking into this problem.  I may have a clue as to what is happening.  As an experiment, I created a new Quicken file and set up the appropriate checking and liability accounts along with the needed categories.  I went to Online Payroll and confirmed all names were correct and then performed the QIF export.  I imported the QIF into the new Quicken file and everything correctly imported.  I closed the new file and opened my older Quicken file and the imported the same QIF file and it did not work as originally experienced.

So, is the problem in the older Quicken file?  By moving or transfering the old file to the new Windows OS, does this create the problem I'm seeing?

To give you more details on the import problem:

Only the payroll liabilities were imported. In the checking account, the payroll liabilities were entered as deposits.  No wage or payroll expense data were imported.

So, my next question is: How do I "transfer" or "convert" my old Quicken file to make it appear as if I just created it on the new computer?
