not able to apply credit memo
invoice paid in full. after customer paid credit memo was issued. credit is not showing up in discounts and credit window. I want to apply credit to new amount due.

Go to the customer's account/transaction list. You should see a credit memo there and the customer's account should contain a credit. If you don't see it, perhaps it was not entered properly.
If you see a credit memo, If the credit was applied to an invoice, you can find that by clicking on the credit and brining it into the window and looking at history...not sure exact steps because not sure what version you are using.
