North American based support

QuickBooks Canada : Pro 2012

How about brining your customer support to North America? I would pay more for it, or I should say  I would pay for it.

I recently cancelled my support subscription because the phone connection to India is always so poor. The customer service reps are hard to understant because of their accents and they get frustrated easily (who can blame them). 

Just as another note. Not once was I asked why I was cancelling or if there was anything that could be done to change my mind. This is VERY poor customer service if you ask me. The overall impression that I get from Intuit is that they just don't care.

I agree with you - seems it causes endless problems to new & other users. It is very hard to understand instructions, with a bad phone line & the accent to boot. Frustrates QB users. But, I guess they wanted to try to do it on the cheap. They will learn as Dell did - support was in Canada - moved offshore - now seems it is in Texas.  Guess they all want to try the cheap - most larger, customer satisfaction based companies no longer use - off shore service. They have learned - hope QB does also.

I have never paid for, nor have ever had to call QB support in the 20years that I have used it. Always managed (recently with Forum folks - Thank you) to get past every upgrade problem - most notebly from 2007.

What I would like to see is - that Intuit tests each new yearly upgrade to make sure that it works! BEFORE RELEASE. Ok, we may get a few new things - but when that messes up things that worked perfectly for 15 years prior - I do not want any of the new stuff.

 Well us old retired people who know a little about about QB & Accounts sit arround waiting for the grand children to call, would like to earn a few cents to back up  the meagre pensions they get. 

It only needs a telephone network set up top pick up the next call and give us somthing to do. Between Uk & US & Canada you could almost get 24 hour support for the English speaking world, that ius if we could still understand the accent's:-)

Can I Have my 2 cents as cash please.

 My suspicion is that Intuit is working towards this forum as being the primary source for support beccause so many people are willing to give free advice. The survey that popped up asked "Did your experience with Intuit Community save you the trouble of calling tech support?"

It already IS the primary support! Who would ever call offshore - with a bad phone line - with an accent that you could never understand? And then pay for it?

I just hope that Intuit rewards those such as CMM (and many others) that continue to provide consistant good answers. Graceman has a good idea. Could be done on a loop - then $ could be paid to those loyal Forum answer'rs.

INTIUT - imagine if the forum folks stopped answering? You would have a great increase in revenue to your "Tech" support for about a month or two. Then suddenly - no one would be purchasing QBooks anymore.

Something to think about.
