Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. NON reccognition by Governing Bodies

I have used quickbooks for years and have recently moved into the financial industry sector, the body governing this sector will not recognise Quickbooks as it does not laeve an audit trail of changes made. Can anyone help, ie if there is an audit trail where is it in system or a way of ensuring changes cannot be made. Thanks

Quickbooks, unfortunately, will allow you to make changes and deletions to the data. However, it does have an audit trail. You just need to turn it on.

Go to Edit:Preferences. Under Accounting, it should show that the audit tracking it on.

In 2006 the Autit tain is permamently on. In earlier versions the audit trail can be on or off depending on your preference setting.

see if it is acceptable to use 2006 for your insustry.
