I am happy to assist you with this inquiry. At this time we do not offer a card reader that is compatible with your Nexus 7.
We update our list of supported phones with new devices as soon as they have passed through rigorous testing to ensure stability and functionality. To view a complete list of phones compatible with the Grey Intuit Credit Card Reader, please go to the following website: www.gopayment.com and click See All Devices.
Please note, if your device is not compatible with the Intuit Credit Card Reader, you may still download the application and manually enter your transactions.
Do you have any idea when Intuit will have a card reader that is compatible with the Nexus 7? I currently use Intuit on my mobile phone and love it, but I now have the Nexus 7 tablet and the only other company that offers a credit card reader for my tablet is PaymentMax. I have done a ton of research and I'm not convinced that they are a reputable company. I really don't want to leave my service with Intuit and I'm willing to stick it out if there is a chance that I will soon be able to use your card reader on my tablet. I understand that I can still input the credit card information manually but that is really not convenient for my business. A card reader is really important!! Please help! :)
Apparently the 1/8" headphone jack is only made for a three contact style plug....NOT the four style contact plug required for credit card readers.
So the bottom line is that the Nexus 7 will NEVER work with a card reader.
Here is a link to the info I found.

My biggest regret is that this infor was not clear on the Nexus site when I purchased the tablet and now I am beyond the time frame of being able to return it so I must sell it for a loss.
I do not hold Intuit responsible for this snafu with the Nexus 7 design, but I hope Intuit will place a warning on their GoPayment site stating that the Nexus 7 will never work with the card readers.

Thank you for this info. Since we can't use the audio jack card reader, I wonder is the Bluetooth card reader would be a workaround solution for the nexus 7.
