Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. New software will NOT work.

US QuickBooks Premier : 2011: Nonprofit

I purchased quickbooks premier 2011 nonprofit for our church's finances. I have not been able to get the church's computer to recognize the program. (I currently have quickbooks 2009 installed). When I try to install new, the message says to put disc in.  The disk is already in.  Even when I go to run and put in D:\setup.exe, nothing happens.

The disk drive is working fine. When I bought this for the church I was told (by Quickbooks) I could load it on my personal laptop since this is what I use at home. I do not have Internet at home and had to call for an authorization code. The lady I talked with said she would e-mail me with a different authorization code for the church's computer when I was ready to install but have not received one and can't find a number to get help.

Yes, if you are the only user, you can install it on yor laptop too.  When you get it installed on the chuch computer, you will need to register it & get a validation code for it (there will be a number to call).

As for installing it -- if you're sure the disk drive works, make sure you are putting the disk in the right way (not upside down).  Did the disk work to install on your laptop?

I finally found the number to talk with someone (live).  It took several hours but was resolved.  The lady I spoke to was very patient and understanding.  thanks for your help.
