Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). New CRM for QuickBooks

Customer Manager Desktop

Intuit is working with SalesForce which is an online based CRM, and integrating it with QuickBooks. It is about to go into Beta, so if you are interested in getting involved please go to http://beta.intuit.com and applying for the test which starts June 20.

Here is a description of the test:
Salesforce CRM for QuickBooks is an application being offered by Intuit in close partnership with salesforce.com. This application will include salesforce.com’s CRM capabilities (which give Sales Representatives the ability to manage leads and opportunities) along with QuickBooks integration capabilities.

This Test involves testing of this new integrated application. Testers will be required to upload their QuickBooks file to the Intuit Partner Platform and from there the data will be shared with Salesforce. This test will require testers to perform activities (add/edit Customers, Create transactions, and add/edit Items) in both QuickBooks and Salesforce and provide feedback.

We are currently using the Salesforce CRM module and want to integrate with Quickbooks.  Will this integration work with our existing Salesforce or is Salesforce CRM for Quickbooks a separate program?

Yes you will be able to use your existing Salesforce with QuickBooks.  More information will be available closer to the official release.

It appears the beta is already closed on this.  Do you have any information on the general release of the product?  If there is still a way to get into the beta we are interested.

You are correct the beta just ended and the next phase is in place to get it ready for release.  

Unfortunately there isnt any other information about the release available.  I would suggest keeping an eye out on Intuit.com.

We've been using Customer Manager 2.5 and have literally thousands of entries. Will this program allow us to seamlessly transfer our existing data?

Is the salesforce system available to work without using the cloud?  I am not interested in sharing my company's IP data in the cloud.  

If Salesforce only uses the cloud, is there another CRM system that Intuit has been suggesting as an alternate to the discontinued Customer Manager program?
