Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

The best thing to do is install a fresh copy of ProSeries from the cd, or download it from your myproseries.com account, then copy/restore the client files from the old to the new ones. This will ensure the best install happens on your new pc.

There are some things to be aware of depending on the OS you will be using and past versions of ProSeries. Mainly, if you will be installing anything prior to ProSeries 2007 on a Vista or Windows 7 pc, you will need to download and install Microsoft. Net Framework 1. onto your new pc simply because it does not exist for ProSeries to function (only .Net Framework 2.0 is pre installed on Windows Vista).

I suggest you check our database on www.proseries.com/support or call 1 800 434 6818 for further assistance if needed.
