New Computer Transfer Settings

I am getting new computer. I usually keep several years of ProSeries on my computer. I would like to install one year (let's say 2003) and configure it the same as I have on my other computer. Is there an easy way to do this (such as a *.ini file I can extract from my old computer)?Once I have the initial year set up, I know that ProSeries will transfer all prior settings with each install. Therefore, all I need to do is somehow extract the old computer's settings to the new computer for the initial year. Thanks

Go to window's explorer, find 2003, go to the Common folder and copy the folder named CWFPDATA. That's the one you want to replace after you set up the new computer. Hope that helps.

Is this true for more recent versions of Pro Series? Also, are client letters stored in this folder?

I'd like to be able to keep a backup of everything that I customize within the program. If its all in the one folder, that would be great. It looked to me as if I'd have to keep a copy of the entire Common folder including its subfolder CWFPDATA in order to do insure that everything item was backed up. Am I wrong about that?

Thanks. Are there any other "settings" stored in the Common folder other than the letter(s)?

What if any of the files in the folder named CWFPDATA are corrupt? By copying the entire folder, you retain any of those corrupt files. I am looking to copy the Pay-Per-Return account and Preparer's billing information. I spoke with Eric from ProSeries Live Chat and he told me to copy the Common folder. I'm afraid there may be corrupt files in this folder. How can I check if the files in either of these folders are intact and contain my data? Can I just find the files pertaining to what I want and check them for errors?
