Net income before taxes as balance sheet net income amount
I would like the net income on the b/s to be net income before income taxes (other expense) for my small corp. How can I do that?

It is net from operations, not reportable for taxes and not including taxes. It is before taxes and other adjustments, such as depreciation, unless someone has entered these amounts. QB doesn't know what your tax situation is.
