Need to pay myself

Better to borrow money for payroll or is it better to not pay myself?

If you need the cash borrow.  If not, then don't.

Wow that was fast :)  Here is a little more detail.       C-Corp  owner and one employee.  Company not making enough money to meet payroll.  Employee is paid.  However no money for owners pay.  Should he borrow the money from the company somehow or not pay himself and have mother pay his bills etc....? Wish i could talk to someone about this issue but not sure where to get this type of help

New company or company that has been around for awhile just having some bumps with the bad economy?  Debt free or debt up to his eyeballs?  Does he have a crystal ball to tell him when or if things are going to turn around?  Can he continue business without the employee or does he need to terminate the excess baggage?  How long is mom willing to cover his bills?  Is he able to get a loan to cover his cash flow issues?  How long can he survive with the current business volume he has?  There is no right or wrong answer, but there are a lot of things to mull over before making the decision.

There is no right or wrong answer to your entire scenario.  Depends on a multitude of subjective factors.  What are the company's future prospects?  What is Mommy's attitude?  How much money can he borrow from the company, given that they can't even make payroll? And on and on and on.  I think the guy may need a therapist more than a taxman.

Morons. I've got MORONS on my team. Nobody is going to rob us going DOWN the mountain. We have got no MONEY going DOWN the mountain. When we HAVE GOT the money, goin' back UP the mountain, THEN you can sweat.

Owner must receive some sort of wage, but one dollar per year satisfies that legal requirement.  At some time during the year, there must be a dollar somewhere.

When anyone doing nothing needs help, I will gladly help that person do nothing.

I wasn't aware of any such requirement myself so I was also curious.

Business was bought, they make signs, all kinds.  Mommy is almost a bottomless pit of money.  I agreee with the therapist :).   My problem may be very easy.  He want to know if he should have mommy pay his bills, company and personal, or continue to borrow money from a line of credit?  Line of credit is maybe 10 million.  I wish i could call/talk to someone.  but not sure how to get my phone # out there without the whole world seeing it

Well, that's simple enough.  If I had a Sugarmommy, I'd ride that mare till she dropped.
