A couple of great books on marketing are Duct Tape Marketing and Guerilla Marketing.

You can put ads in local newsletters (church, school, home owners associations, etc.) and a lot of other ideas. I'd recommend you contact your local Small Business Development Center (SBDC) for FREE help on creating a marketing strategy for your business.

PLEASE mark this answer as solved (click the button under the answer in the lower, right corner) or post additional questions. Thanks so much!!!

If you promote a free slice/free side in exchange for name, email and address (print some small cards they can fill out or ask for business card) you can build a list of businesses who come in as individuals.

From there, you can call the office manager of the business cards you get and ask them to visit for a "sampler" session to see how great your food is and then offer to take faxed orders for lunch or for "corporate working lunches" when they have conference room meetings that happen during mid-day and they need to feed clients/colleagues. You can also offer to prepare food for office events - b'day parties, anniversary of hire date parties, retirement, new baby welcome back, been sick welcome back, etc.

Finally think about some kind of loyalty program -

  • "Eat free birthday dinner" (they'll usually bring 4-10 friends along to celebrate)
  • Your 10th pie is free or some other menu item.
  • Give a free meal to anyone who refers a client that buys $20.00 order - the new client brings in the "referral receipt" their buddy gave them - new client gets a discount to use on next purchase, you punch the referral card and the one who referred can use it on their next visit.
