QB does not use Customer Numbers.
You can create a Custom Field for Customer Numbers and add that to your template.

actually - it does. Talked to another firm. You create an account number under the customer profile. THen activate that box on the invoice/stmt/ etc. It will only show when printed.
Problem sovled for those of us who have customers paying their bills on online banking systems through financial institutions.

I assumed that field (on the Payment Info tab) referred to the customer's bank account. I presumed the question referred to Customer ID numbers. In this case my answer would be correct.
However, there's no reason why one can't use the (bank) account number field (if that's what it is) as a Customer ID Number, as you suggested.
