You need to get your hands dirty and go into the software. I use ProSeries, but I asume Lacerte is similar in having a help center. Click on the help center and dig in.

I've never used the demo data, but that might be a good place to start learning. The Lacerte Guru or someone else, might be able to point you to certain URL's where Intuit gives step-by-step "how-to" instructions on various aspects of tax prep.

There's also some new customer training available on the website. I'm sure your software came with information. If it didn't your sales rep should be able to point you in the right direction.

One of the best ways to learn in addition to the Link PhoebeRoberts gave you is to set up what I call a "Test" or "Dummy" client and practice with the software and input different senerios., This will aid you in learning both the navigation and functionality of the software and how it will process data and populate the tax return
