Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

Hi Stephen,

What kind of feedback are you looking for? I work in the SEO department and have a few suggestions (some you are already doing)

1. Call to action - It's good go 1 to 2 action items that you want someone to do on your website. I like how you have featured products that are clickable. Also a "click her to register" is a smart idea.

2. Content - For search engines, they like to see content in the body of your website in order to know what your website is about and find keywords. I would recommend going to Google and doing a search for "google seo". They have a great kind on somethings you should do to optimize your website. I would personally recommend 200-250 words on every single one of your pages.

3. Optimize - There are things missing on your website such as Page Titles, Meta descriptions, H1 tags, alt tags, etc....as stated before, check out Google for some tips to help get your site found online.

4. Navigation - If I look at your website I have a hard time figuring out what is up for auction. From the looks of it, there is a lot of jewelry, but then I see a car, house, and boat in the top pictures. There may be a better way to layout your site. I would suggest categories that someone could click on to dig deeper into specific products. Right now it looks like you sell everything and I wouldn't know where to start.

I hope that helps. I like what you have done so far.

Please help me improve my performance by answering a short survey that will be emailed to you from the community.

I agree with Chris.  Your site is pretty busy and as a customer its hard for me to determine where I should look or click.  Definitely take some time to incorporate his feedback.  One more thing I'll add is that I think you have a missed opportunity to collect customer information.  On your site, you encourage people to check back regarding upcoming auctions but then you ask them to sign your guestbook.  I'd actually ask them to sign up for your email or newsletter alerts instead and that way, instead of them checking back on your site, you can just email them when you have something new to auction.

Mmmm Tax! So delicious!
