Need feedback on a payroll card

This really doesn't have anything to do with QuickBooks although I do use it, but I've tried to get feedback from other forums and I just haven't received any. Does anyone have experience using a payroll card in place for direct deposit or checks ?

Check with ComData, over the road truckers use that all the time (there are several others that provide the service too)

He gets his pay or a portion of his pay loaded to comdata, he has a comdata debit card and checks.

The checks are kind of weird, they are generic, he can use anyones comdata check and most truck stops carry them. He calls an 800 number, they do the are you who you say you are security check, then comdata gives him a  control number to write on the check.

As the person/business taking the check you are told on the check to call comdata and verify that the check control number is valid, they give you another code to write in. If you don't call for that verification code and the check control number is phoney - oh well.

All that info is several years old, but I doubt it has changed much, it works well. Some OTR drivers don't even have a bank account, totally off the grid as the money stays in comdata accounts.

If I've helped, mark it solved.

I have heard of ComData that seems like a lot of work to use their program. I have spoken to several companies including ADP and Visa which both offer  the payroll card, it just seems like a lot of work to integrate my payroll with their system. The company that approached me was M2 WorldWide, honestly seems like the eastest system to switch to. They don't offer the checks you are talking about, but seems like a good thing I wouldn't want to have to call in everytime I wanted to use a check plus where isn't Visa or MasterCard accepted now a days. Also they have a security system I have yet to see anywhere else it is called safe technology and basically it allows you to unlock and lock your card by texting a number that is associated with your card, it's pretty amazing.

I'm curious does anyone know of any other providers that I may have missed?

Thank you for all of your help
