Need 3rd Party Direct Deposit Software ..QB says they can't do it any longer

After using direct deposit from Quickbooks for 6 month QB updated software and they now tell us they cannot handle our direct deposit requirements. Does anyone know of a good third party software that works with Quickbooks Enterprise to handle direct deposit of paychecks we generate with quickbooks ?

Never heard of this. What is it that QuickBooks says they can't handle?

We have separate data files for different locations within one entity.  Until the last update to the software, we uploaded each location separately and got the payroll per location in the correct data file.  They could only handle one bank account but that was easily handled by shifting funds on our end.  Now they tell us this is not possible and we should go elsewhere.  We are perplexed to say the least but are looking for the "somewhere else" .

We are having the same problem. I will be watching your post for a solution. I had to print hard copies of checks for this payroll.

We did figure out a work around today.  We calculated the payroll in the data file where we wanted the expenses and added a payroll item "Paid by the other locataion"  which is a deduction from net pay calculated at 100%.  Then in the data file that the direct deposits will all come out of we set up a payroll item that is an addition to net pay calcuated at a rate of 1.0  that is "net pay for DD".  We added the employees from the original data file that had direct deposit and just posted the net checks which were in the first data file to the second data file.  Then the net is uploaded to QB and the employees get the direct deposit.  The Expenses are in the correct file.  And we just have to write a check from the first data file (pay liabilities for the Paid by other location) to the second company.  We had he net pay post to a clearing account in the second file and the deposit offsets it.  It worked rather easily.

Or you could remote into one file from the other locations and create all the payroll in it.  If you have only one EIN, it's really better to put all the payroll into one QB file so that you can create payroll tax forms easily.  It would save you a lot of time for reporting and tax forms to have all your payroll data in one file.

I don't use the Quickbooks payroll tax reporting feature because of our different locations situation.  I use 1099-etc to report the payroll taxes.  I import from QB to 1099-etc and prepare the returns there.  It is a really great little add on program and it doesn't care how many files I import from to combine into one file.  It handles all of the little things like 3rd party sick pay that Quickbooks used to make difficult.  I will admit that it has been years since I looked at QB payroll reporting since I find this program to be so good.
