“Natural SEO” service for my web business

I own and operate two sites for fun. If possible I may be able to get a business' to place ad's on my site. Like I said these sites are for fun not profit. I want to get more members though. How do I get my sites to pull in more members with search engines. Are there any tricks you could show an average person to make their site more visible. I have been able to figure out quite a bit from hands on experience as far as operating the sites goes. I thought it might be more than I could handle but sar far so good. Thanks ahead of time for any help you may be able to give.

Assuming you've done all relevant on-site SEO, you need lots and lots of off-site SEO. As in on site is to provide quality content both to visitors and to bots, and off site is to have popularity.

Google looks at websites much the same way high school kids look at each other. Who's popular? It's the kid with the most friends. Online your sites' friends are links that take visitors to your sites from other sites. They are called backlinks.

One trick that you can increase your popularity is to browse different blogs and forums that allow you to include links back to your site. Now please please please don't be spammy. If you are it's not only rude, but also will be deleted by the moderator. The way it'll work is if your link has nothing to do with the blog post, it will be deleted. So spend the 10-15 minutes to read the article then leave a link.

(Also you want to make sure that the links are do-follow as opposed to no-follow so that search bots do crawl and index them. If they're not, the general consensus in teh SEO industry is you're just wasting your time...though you may get traffic, you don't get recognition from google.)

Also make sure that the link has keywords in the anchor text (the text that's click-able should be a keyword)

So the trick: pay a kid minimum wage to read blogs and post links. In an hour you can have 4-6 links. So for about $160 you can have 100 links.
