I'm sorry you're having a problem.  Could you be more specific about what is happening?  What are you trying to do?  Open the program, open payroll, download an update?  What happens when you try?  The more detail you can offer...the better.

Whenever I open my quickbooks it says not responding and I have to close it through task manager.  I reinstalled it.  That doesn't work.  QB 2012 has some major glitches.  They need some serious updates. Please help.

 @Expert99 - this thread is over 1 1/2 years old.

Try this:

 

  1. Right-click the Windows taskbar and select Task Manager.
  2. Click the Processes tab.
  3. End any of the following QB-related processes if they are listed. (Select each process and then clickEnd Process.           )
    1. QBW32.exe
    • QBHelp.exe
    • qbupdate.exe
    • support.exe
    • mrtmngr.exe
    • qbdagent2002.exe
    • qbdagent2001.exe
    • qbdagent.exe
    • axlbridge.exe
  •  

After that you should be able to open QB.

Once you have done that go to edit>preferences>general>and take checkmark out of "keep QB running for quick startups.

Hello! I was having this issue as well...I tried many things from this site within my quick books software...What I found that worked for me was disabling my Virus ware...I am using kaspersky...I hope this helps someone because this was very frustrating for me...

I think the term "NOT RESPONDING" refers to Intuit.

The speed of quickbooks enterprise has been painfully slow for us since the time of first installation 4 years ago.    there has never been an idea out there to help us.  we run the program all by itself on a superfast computer with gigabite networking, we have no more than 6 users logged in at any given time and the company file is not that big.  the program and the company are always not responding for us especially when we are on the phone with a cstomer looking something up.

  i've been paying for customer support and upgrades all 4 years and nothing good has been coming of it.  best of luck to you and yours...i think i might be at the end of the rope with intuit and quickbooks enterprise.   it is a negative value proposition for us.  I hope you have better luck.

I would agree with you on them not responding and fixing this. I can't build inventory and I have been kicked down the road with promises to get if fixed for two weeks. Follow status of  221849847456 for more info. Good Luck I have had this problem for over 14 months.
