Which reports, what kind? What is your computer operating system, do you have enough memory to meet the recommendations?

My operating system is Windows XP Pro and I do have enough memory. It only freezes when I am running company financial reports. I can run other reports just fine but a simple P/L will freeze every time.

If these are cash basis, they do take longer. Can you run accrual basis reports or does it freeze then, too?

I am also having this problem. We recently upgraded from QB '06 to '09. Whenever running a Profit and Loss report, accrual works, cash doesn't. When I try to switch from accrual to cash, there is some CPU and network activity then QB freezes.

Any ideas?

The weird thing is that it doesn't crash on an old Gateway P4 3Ghz computer. I've tried a completely different Dell with freshly imaged Windows and newly installed QB '09 and it still crashes. I've also tried copying the company file to the local computer's hard drive to rule out server/network issues. It still freezes.

Core2 processor, WinXP SP3, 2GB of ram, Gigabit network, file server has 10k drives.
