Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! My computer will not take the R7 update.

US QuickBooks Premier : 2009: Contractor

My computer will not take the R7 update. Also when I try to do federal form it will not show it. I have a 3 user license and everything works fine on my laptop.

Try resetting the update. It's possible the download got corrupted. Go to Help. Update QuickBooks, click on the Update Now tab and check the box to reset update. let it re-download and try it again. Make sure all of your machines are on the R7 update.
