multicurrency rounding errors

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows : 2010

I use Quick Pro 2010. There are always multicurrency rounding errors. Are there any updates to extend the decimal points to 7 digits as sometimes the amount involved more than 100 thousand dollars.

  1. I have found the same problem since we updated QB from QB 2004 to QB 2012 recenty.  The number of decimal places is no longer enough to get a payment for most invoices in $'s or EUROs received into our sterling account at he same exchange rate as the transaction appears on our bank statement.  This is very frustrating indeed

My QB Pro is 2010 and yours is 2012. In this three years this problem should be solved, I think,  are there any other solution we do not know?

I have the exact same problem.  I deal in Japanese yen quite frequently.  The rounding errors, caused by too few significant digits allowed in the exchange rate input, create rounding errors that create headaches downstream.

For example, I pay in JPY.  The bank converts using the prevailing exchange rate.  I try to put that same rate into Quickbooks but it truncates.  Then the transactions do not, and will not MATCH when I go to reconcile.

This is very frustrating and I cannot find a solution anywhere.
