Multi Currency Sales Orders Crashing QB Premier 2010

QuickBooks UK : Premier 2012

Inputting multi line EUR/USD Sales Orders in QB 2010 Premier causes a 'transaction not in balance' error, crashes the programme and corrupts the data file. Can't print picklist or del notes. System saves the sales order but adds a spurious zero value VAT line inspite of EGZ/E/Z/O code used.

Have tried this in Premier 2012 same problem.

Have tried overwriting the sales line extension values and changing exchange rate to avoid 3 or more decimal places in GBP value. No luck.

Wierdly, once invoiced and all sales orders (manually) deleted the data corruption is fixed.

Seems to indicate some sort of 'circular reference' error between the currency and VAT calculation?

Are you saying you are trying to input different currencies on same order. which I do not think its capable of and would not even try. You cannot mix currencies in the same order

As the item list will be in base currency, the customer for the sales order will set the currency for they order, then the exchange rate converts from the base currency to the customers currency.

It also would involve a sales order trying to post to two different a/r accounts one for each currency its not surprising it fails. I am surpprised you get as far as you do, is there no message that warns you.

Thanks Graceman but you misunderstood.

You can only use one currency per sales order. I mention Euro and Dollars because it doesn't matter which currency one uses, once you add multiple line items it crashes.

Thanks anyway,

Hellsteeth
