Are the churches donating toward a specific mission or do you decide to which mission the money is going? If they donate toward a specific mission, one way would be to enter the donations from each church individually, using Sales Receipt (under Customers) - You will need an Item linked to an Income account - for example item: Mission 1 linked to an Income account: Mission 1 Income. Or you could use the Class option - the classes being the different missions - when you enter the donations (with Sales receipt to be able to keep track of the donors and their donations), use an item called Missions donations linked to a Missions donations Income account and specify which mission by using the class.

We collect money from various churches for Missions (Pledge, BD Offering, Tk Offering, hunger, least coin. etc), and contigecy. the mission is forward to the main head qtr at varous times. I would like to give a report to the churches reflecting what has been sent for the various missions. Therefore, I need to show the church's name, each missions individually and where the funds are going. In my chart of account I will use income. Will the churches will be the vendors? How do I enter the classes? When I send the check that will take care of the head qtrs (main office).

Enter the donations using Sales Receipt (under Customers) (Donors are Customers in QB). The Class option may not be the best in your case. You could create different Income accounts : Pledge Income, BD Offering Income, etc. When you enter the donation in Sales Receipt, you will need an Item - in this case you will need a different item for each Mission - for example Item Hunger Donation linked to the Hunger Donation Income Account. (Item type: Service), etc. In the Donor's list (Customers' list) you can click on any of your donors and view their donations - The headquarter is a Vendor in this case: You send all the money collected to the Headquarters or you keep a percentage?
