Missing subtotal data field in layout form
I am creating an invoice template. In adding a data field, there is no subtotal, yet in another business in this same software it is there? Why not in the second business?

When you customize the template, in Additional Customization, is there not an option under Footer to click on Subtotal for Screen and Print?

Many thanks for your reply. I craeted a template invoice in another company in the same quickbooks and there was and still is a data field that you can add in layout called subtotal, but in my second business it is not there?

Where in template design do you see the option of adding the data field?
If you are trying to recreate the same template, why not export the template from the other file and import it?

Totally embarressed now! Even though I answered the question at the set up for do you charge VAT, (yes), ive just gone into preferences and it said no. So altered it to yes and hey presto I have the options now in layout design! Think its time to come off the PC now been doing this for over 12 hours and its showing. Again thank you for your replies, really is appreciated.
