When I call up my chart of accounts, one of my bank accounts dose not show. When I go to post deposits, I have to type in the bank name that is missing and it will come up and the deposits I have made will show. When I switch to the othr bank I have to type the name there is nothing in the drop down box.
Sounds like the account is Inactive. Open the Chart of Accounts and make sure View at the bottom says All Accounts. Your account should show now, but will be slightly grayed out. If this should be an active account right-click on the account name and select Make Account(s) Active.
If the account is not showing with View All Accounts then resort the list. (Edit > Re-sort List.)
Thank you so much but it looks like I created some other problems while trying to fix that one on my own.
I followed your instructions and it worked great but as I said I now have other problems. I don't understand why the double posting and why did it double post on one of the Bank accounts but it didn't on the other Also, after entering all the credit card charges do I just
write check to pay.
