merging QB 2005 Files

I have a client that made several entries to her 2005 version that included checks, A/P, etc. Unfortunately she didn't realize that she shouldn't do that while I was working on rebuilding her company file (she was way behind on data entry). Now that I just found out she put all this information in her older version of the company data file, I'm wondering if it's possible to merge or somehow grab the entries she made and put them into the more complete copy I'm working in. I took both a backup file and an accountants copy.I know this is messy, but if I can pull this off, it would save hours of her/my time.

I have had clients do this several times so I would love to hear any input or solutions on this topic as well........I am glad I am not alone in this mess!

If you were working in the accountant?s copy of the client?s file, shouldn?t the client be able to merge the accountant?s copy entries into the client?s file? Richard

Just and update... I took Karl's advice and used his data transfer utility program and it worked great.
I already had this software, but forgot all about it. It made the job a cinch and took what would have been hours of re-entering invoices and cutting checks and reduced it down to a couple of minutes.
If you have ever run into a similar problem, then get your hands on this software!
