Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! Merchant Services EFT Server

QuickBooks Point of Sale : Pro 8.0

We just upgraded our server to a new machine running Windows 2008 Standard.  We are running POS 8.0.  Merchant services keeps asking for a password.  You put in the Sysadmin password and it works for a while and then asks again.  How do we fix this?  I cannot give my employees the Sysadmin password!

Tthere is a setting in POS that logs out the user after each sale: Edit>Preferences>Company>General.  You can turn this off, or give each user their own login.  If it is truly the EFTSvr asking for permission, you may be logged into Windows with a user account that is not an Administrator, POS requires full administrator priveleges.
